About Preston Candover and Nutley

The parish of Preston Candover and Nutley is situated south of Basingstoke, in a valley carved into the Hampshire chalk downlands. The settlements appear to be Saxon in origin.

The parish is lucky in having many facilities. As well as two pubs, it also has a village shop and post office, a highly regarded school and pre-school, a church, village hall, recreation ground and skate ramp, children’s play area and allotments.

The school and village hall are the focal points for many social events and clubs, all of which give the parish a strong sense of community.
