Location of Preston Candover and Nutley
The Parish of Preston Candover and Nutley lies within a broad valley in the chalk country of central Hampshire. This tranquil area lies at the centre of a triangle between Winchester, Alton and Basingstoke.
The parish is a rural one, surrounded by farmland and woods, but with excellent transport links. It is seven miles south of Basingstoke centre, with it’s excellent new shopping centre, ten miles north of historic Winchester, and three miles west of the A339, the Basingstoke to Alton road.
The M3 motorway is five miles away (25 miles to the M25) and trains from Basingstoke station reach London Waterloo in 45 minutes. The parish is served by the Cango bus service which operates between Basingstoke, Alton and Alresford.
