Recreation Facilities
Although a rural community, the parish is lucky to have a range of leisure activities for adults and children.
In addition to the tennis courts, recreation ground, skate ramp and play area, there are many footpaths and bridleways that meander through the valley and over the downland. The Wayfarers Walk long distance path passes through the area, as does the Oxdrove. Walking, cycling and horse riding are popular pastimes.
Tennis Courts
The tennis courts are situated in the centre of the village behind the village hall. These belong to and are maintained by the Tennis Club

Recreation Ground
This is run by the Preston Candover Recreation Association
The Association helps to promote and provide recreational and leisure facilities in the village. The recreation ground can be found off Wield Road, east of St. Mary’s Church. There is a football pitch with changing rooms on the site.
Walkers: the area is always open, but please clear up after your pet!

The ramp is checked and maintained on a regular basis.
Please contact the Parish Clerk if you have any queries or concerns regarding the ramp.
Play Area
This is designed for small children and is situated at the top of Stenbury Drive.
It was installed by the Parish Council as a millennium project, with the help of a grant from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and donations from parishioners.
Equipment includes swings, slide, climbing frame and a picnic bench and is maintained regularly by the Parish Council and inspected annually by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Contact the Parish Clerk for further information.
